About

I was born, raised, and educated in Southside Virginia, attending Brunswick Academy for 14 years prior to beginning my undergraduate studies at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Transitioning from the insular environment of a small private school to a diverse public university was precisely the change I needed to ignite my passion for public service. As a senior at Longwood, I major in history and communication studies with concentrations in pre-law and public relations and a minor in political science.

As president of the Honors Student Association (HSA), I represent the interests of over 400 Cormier Honors College scholars and lead a robust campus organization dedicated to community service. Each semester, my executive board coordinates philanthropic events for local food pantries and animal shelters, leads campus cleanup efforts, and volunteers at Virginia state parks. Working directly with our Student Government Association representative, we also advocate on behalf of all scholars to improve our university community. In addition to my position in HSA, I have served as the social media intern for the Honors College since August 2021, coordinating posts and advertising honors programming under weekly guidance from the college’s senior director, dean, and director of integrative learning.

At the Writing Center at Longwood University, I have been tutoring students since 2021 at every stage of the writing process. This year, I was promoted to assistant director of the Writing Center, working directly with the director to oversee daily operations, manage staff and client inquiries, and preside over collaborative workshops, staff meetings, and advisory committee meetings.

My leadership extends beyond the classroom and office, as I have been an active member of the College Democrats of Longwood University since rechartering the organization as a freshman. I have subsequently served as its president, vice president, and communications director, organizing canvassing opportunities and town halls with state senators, delegates, and congressional candidates. As I prepare to graduate and apply to graduate and law schools, I hope to utilize the skills I have developed during my four years at Longwood to successfully complete a degree program in law, public policy, or higher education leadership to launch my career in public service.
